"Think Joni Mitchell, Etta James, Carole King and Dusty Springfield rolled into one….her voice has great range, it can whisper, cry, soar with joy and blast you out of your seat - sometimes all in the same song! She's also a first class songwriter with lyrics that emote, entice and captivate. And she can play - piano, accordion, guitar, mandolin, percussion, Rhodes and diamonica. Add in a theatre background and a career as a successful children's music teacher/entertainer and you have the versatile, eclectic and very talented package that is Treasa Levasseur." (James Doran, OBScene, Summer 2006)  David Baxter, a very accomplished Producer and guitarist who has been with Treasa since day one, will be accompanying her for this Show.

LATE SUMMER & FALL FESTIVALS
******************************************************
The 2012 Blues Festival Guide magazine 10th anniversary issue has arrived and blues fans are devouring 100 pages packed full of festivals, blues history, lifestyle, radio DJ and blues society listings, and more – the biggest issue yet.

Started in 2003, The Blues Festival Guide magazine was a Media Sponsor of the 2003 government-proclaimed Year of The Blues. In 2006, three years later, “The Guide” received recognition from the Blues Foundation by being a recipient of the coveted Keeping The Blues Alive award for print media. That same year, they also received an award from the West Coast Hall of Fame/Bay Area Blues Society for ‘Best Blues Publication of the Year’.

This year, the artwork that graces the front cover is by Jackson-MS based artist, Tony Davenport. The first half of the magazine is the Festival Section with dozens of blues festivals including their line-ups so blues fans can easily plan their festival season and a comprehensive Plan Your Blues calendar in the back.

The entire magazine can also be read online; find a link hosted on the homepage at http://www.BluesFestivalGuide.com. This Digital Magazine is user-friendly with lots of bells and whistles; turn the page with a click of your mouse.

The print version of the “Guide” is printed on white-bright recycled newsprint with a four-page glossy wrap. The newsprint allows printing 100,000 copies while keeping the cost down for “starving artists” and non-profits to advertise in it. Completely advertising driven, fans and industry professionals can pick up a copy for free through their local blues society, blues festival, club, or music store. Or to have a copy mailed, send $7 ($12 overseas) to RBA Publishing, P.O. Box 50635, Reno, NV 89513 (or send payment via PayPal to payment@BluesFestivalGuide.com). Cost covers postage, handling and packaging; the Guide itself is free.

Copies are available from the Ottawa Blues Society.
