SPECIAL EVENTS THIS WEEK

*******************************************************

A Christmas Gospel Celebration

NAC Studio,

Friday & Saturday, December 17-18; tickets $30 (+ taxes & fees)

Just in time for Christmas – two unforgettable evenings of gospel music with Rev. Ernie Cox. Some of Ottawa’s best musicians will make up the band, along with a horn section featuring Michael Webster from New York City – he’s doing the horn arrangements, and will also be playing sax with the horn section as well as soloing. Core singers will be the London Trio Plus+, along with some additional singers, bringing the choir to about 15. Local and legendary blues/jazz singer Andrea Karam will be singing with the backup group, and she’ll solo as well.

Two evenings of grand and glorious gospel, and the addition of some uplifting and stirring Christmas gospel will surely get your hands clapping and toes tapping. Part of the evening will be devoted to some favourite carols. So come planning to sing! The ushers will be handing out booklets with words, so you can sing along to some of the carols with the band and the choir – all in soulful gospel style.

Come and bring your friends – hope to see you there!
